🏁 The race is on, and the battle for the most canned food items has begun! 🥫✨ Join us in supporting the NHS Canned Food Drive, happening from March 24th to April 3rd. 🚨 The elementary grade that collects the most cans will earn an epic ice cream party! 🍦🎉 Let's make a difference and bring on the competition! 💪
All proceeds go to Blue Valley Food Pantry, some things they need are Hamburger Helper, PB &J, Mac & Cheese, paper towels, and toilet paper.

Tiger Family,
Brainard, Dwight, and Prague officially have power again. Unfortunately, many people, especially in the more rural areas, still do not. In visiting with Butler County Emergency Management, they estimate that it will still take some time for everyone to have power restored. Please be patient as the crews continue their repairs. They are doing the best they can under difficult circumstances.
Because many of our families may still be without power, the Brainard school locker rooms will be available for showering between the hours of 6:00 am to 7:30 am and 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm each weekday (Mon.-Fri), and 8:00 am – 11:00 am on the weekends (Sat.-Sun), starting March 22nd through March 28th. You will need to bring your own toiletries and towels. Please enter the Brainard building through the activities entrance and turn right through the wrestling room until you come to the JH locker rooms. Additionally, the school will have cases of water available if any family, that does not have power, needs them.
Families not affiliated with the school.
The city of David City will open the David City Pool from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Friday, March 21st, through Friday, March 28th, for area residents to shower and use restroom facilities. You will need to supply your own toiletries and towels.
We have been through challenging times before, and we will get through this one together.
If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with the school.
#EvenBetter,
Mr. Michael Eldridge, EB Superintendent

Congratulations to Faye Belew and Hannah Strizek for punching their ticket to State Speech!!! We are proud of you. Go Tigers!

Dwight PreK had so much fun reenacting 5 little speckled frogs for small group. Frogs may be our favorite of all the life cycles we learned about this week.

Good luck to Hannah Strizek and Faye Belew at District Speech today. The girls will compete at Falls City Sacred Heart.

👰 🤵♂️ East Butler kindergarteners celebrated the wedding of Q and U today. Now they will remember that whenever a word starts with Q, U will follow. 🤵♂️👰♀️

🐝Dwight PreK has some busy bees.🐝
🌻We got pollen (Cheeto dust) on our fingers and then spread it to our flowers while we drank the nectar (juice).

East Butler Public School will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, March 20th. At this time, we are not sure when power will be restored to our buildings and communities. Road crews have now just begun the long clean out process. Please have patience during this time.

Due to the incoming weather and the Blizzard warning that we will be in tomorrow, East Butler Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, March 19th, 2025. Please stay home and stay safe.

Students had an exciting opportunity to explore career possibilities at Kawasaki and Hughes Brothers during their recent tours! They gained valuable insights into various roles and industries, sparking ideas for their future paths.

It was Engineering Challenge Day in Calculus! Teams were tasked with building the two ends of a bridge separately and had to bring them together at the the last minute to support a weight suspended above the ground. Communication between the teams was minimal, but Faye, Morgan, Isaiah and Chance passed with flying colors. When extra weight was added, the bridge collapsed like an exhausted marathon runner, but that's a problem for another day.

🌡️🌪️❄️☀️☔️Thank you to Bill Rentschler for coming out and teaching the Dwight and Brainard Kindergarten about meteorology and weather today! We loved checking out your vehicle and learning about different types of severe weather! Be sure to check out 10/11 on Monday (3/17) to see East Butler Kindergarten on the news! ☔️☀️❄️🌪️🌡️
