Today, we honored Michael Kunasek & Hannah Strizek for their accomplishments at a Recognition Rally. Hannah will perform on Friday at the Lied Center for State Choir. Michael performed in the National FFA Choir in October. Congratulations to both Michael &Hannah. Go Tigers!



Dwight kindergarten have been reading the story "What can you do with a paleta?" by Carmen Tafolla and learning about different cultures. Today they got to try out paletas for snack!

Reminder that all parents from the district are welcome to attend Darin Boysen's presentation at 6:00 tonight in the East Butler gym. The topic is "The Role of Parents in Education Based Athletics." This presentation is a great way to gain some insight on what your student athlete needs and what can help lead them to an enjoyable experience.

District FFA livestock judging was at the Columbus Ag Pavilion today. Grant lead the junior division team placing 12th, while Drew rose to the top for the senior division.

A huge thank you to Behlen Mfg. Co. for their generous donation of a brand-new 262 MP 3-1 Lincoln welder! Our students had the chance to tour Behlen's Columbus facilities on November 6. They learned about the many exciting career paths available at Behlen and the wide range of skills that can be applied in the industry.

The East Butler Winter Sports tip-off will be on Thursday, November 14, starting at 6:00 PM in the Gym. Darin Boysen, NSAA, will be the guest speaker. The Activity Entrance Door will open at 5:30 PM.

Students from East Butler visited The Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction in Omaha on Wednesday, touring the Lighting Lab and the Materials Lab (where they made and tested concrete), and competing in a straw tower building challenge. The team of Lucy Polivka, Dylan Klement and Jacob Pekarek won the contest with a structure of 30.5 inches tall.
